WHAT MOM TOOK
Most often when we think of Mom,
We think of what she's given:
The softness of a loving touch,
A gentle guide for living;
A nightly tip-toe in a room,
An understanding look;
But sometimes when I think of Mom
I think of what she took.
She took a child and taught it how
To live this life with pride.
She took those kindergarten tears,
And kept them all inside.
She took the hands that longed to hold
Her child and not let go,
Used them to push us along the way, to thrive and grow.
She Took time to do some other things,
Like sew, and clean and cook.
And never thought to ask for thanks
For all the things she took,
Thanks , Mom

TRIBUTE TO MY MOTHER:
My mother died a year ago today, It's hard to express the
pain deep in my heart. Although I've all but washed the tears away,
My thoughts of her will not depart.
A hard life this Beautiful Lady Led, Her deepest love and joy were her children. Problems in marriage, a mixed up head, She could have left us, she could have fled.But with her children , she chose instead.
We loved her so, This lady my Mom, To me she was so smart so strong; When I needed her she was always calm, She taught us Gods love and might, To do good, not to steal, fuss or fight.
She taught me to pray, to the Lord at night.
To do His will throughout my Life. She took me to church
Sunday morning and Sunday night.
My Mom got sick, Real sick you see, She had cancer , a fear to me. I sat by her bed day after day, And saw her pain as she slipped away.
God was merciful to my Mom that night; God heard my cry and my plight. "Take her home dear Jesus, I said", As I wept and bowed my head. She's in Heaven today. With the Angels in Glory, she will stay. Walking with Jesus on streets of Gold. All this and more I am told;
I'll see her someday - In my home far away;
My Lord has this home waiting , for you and for mel For He paid the price when he hung on that tree.
This is the story of my Mom, you see.
That Beautiful Lady waiting for me.

No one knows of the work it makes; to keep the home together: Nobody knows the steps it takes, Nobody knows but Mother: Nobody knows the lessons taught of loving one another; Nobody knows the patience sought, Nobody knows but Mother.
