There is a slight possible correction to the death date of their two year old son Charles Haigh Schuyler. In the death notice in "The New York Herald" the date of his passing due to scarlet fever is March 1, 1861 rather than March 31, 1861 as shown on the attached record .
"Schuyler—In Jersey City, N.J. On Friday, March 1 (1861) of scarlet fever, Charles Haigh, the youngest child of J. Rutsen and Susanna E Schuyler, aged 2 years"
