Grace Campbell Simpson, 78, Louisville, formerly of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Campbell, was born in Taylor County Jan. 28, 1909. She died at 5 p.m. Friday, Jan. 1, 1988, at the home of her sister, Mrs. W. R. Beard, in Campbellsville. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She was a member and past Worthy Matron of the Palomar Chapter #585, Honorable Order of the Eastern Star in San Diego, Calif., and a retired secretary with General Dynamics, also in San Diego. She is survived by two sisters and three brothers, Juanita Beard and Paul Campbell, both of Campbellsville, Marie Binkley, Salem, Ky., Granville Campbell, Waynesville, N.C., and John Campbell, Beckley, W. Va.; several other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by one sister and one brother, Lucille Daugherty Stick on April 9, 1987, and Merlin Campbell on July 19, 1979. The funeral was at 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 3, at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville by Dr. Billy Joe Cox and the Rev. Riley Guffey. Burial was at Brookside Cemetery. Pallbearers were John Campbell, Darrell Beard, Winn Beard, Billy Joe Breeding, Martin E.
