Mr. Kerr was born in Jonesville on July 29, 1936, a son of the late Edgar Harris Kerr and Louise (Strong) Kerr.
A graduate of Jonesville High School, he was a self-employed retired cattle farmer, a veteran of the U.S. Navy, and a member of Jonesville Baptist Church.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a son, Mark E. Kerr and wife, Diane, of Chattanooga, Tenn.; two sisters, Bernice Blackwell and Gladys Garrett, both of Spartanburg; and a brother, John Kerr of Spartanburg.
Mr. Kerr was predeceased by a brother, Jim Kerr.
Graveside services were held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 8, 2005 at Jonesville Memorial Gardens conducted by the Rev. Ralph Brown and Rev. Alan West.
