Lucy Purvis Wine Holleman, 79, of Brenham died Monday, Feb. 24, 1997 at Kruse Memorial Lutheran Village, Brenham.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Feb. 28, 1997 at 10 am at First United Methodist Church, Brenham with Pastor Harry Vein officiating.

Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park, San Antonio, Texas.

Mrs. Holleman was born May 11, 1917 in Ganado. Texas, the daughter of Thomas Washington and Ellena (Locklin) Purvis.

Mrs. Holleman attended Austin High School in Austin.

She was married to Harold Wine and he preceded her in death in February 1962.

She later married M.B. Holleman in 1963. He preceded her in death in December 1970.

Mrs. Holleman was a member of First United Methodist Church in Brenham.

She worked for 20 years at Blinn College as a bursar and a dorm matron.

Survivors include her grandchildren, Jack R. Hensen of Clemson, N.C., Charles C. Hensen of Lago Vista, Texas, Lisa H. Wood of San Antonio and Marianne H. Johnson of Brenham; granddaughters and grandson-in-law, Kathleen B. Hensen and B. Howard Johnson; and eight great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Charles C. Hensen, Jack R. Hensen, Brian R. Hensen, Charles L. Wood IV, Howard Johnson and James Kenjura.

Besides her husbands, Mrs. Holleman was preceded in death by her stepdaughter and husband, Janice Holleman Hensen and Ernest N. Hensen; her parents, Thomas and Ellena Purvis; two brothers; and six sisters.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel in Brenham.
