Three sides of the two story frame house at 313 Hill St. were blown out and Mrs. Gertsch was believed to have been hurled from the house into the front yard by the force of the blast. Mrs. Gertsch lived alone. Furniture was wrecked and a parlor chair was forced through the ceiling of the living room. Floor joists were reported broken.
