Jewelry designer. Born in New York City, she lived there for most of her childhood. Her father owned a New York fashions design house and she began her artistic career designing jewelry for his runway fashion models. Her jewelry was sold in art galleries in New York City and around the country. One of her necklaces is in a New York museum. She continued with jewelry design, privately accepting commissioned design work. She completed a masters in psychology and five years in Adelphi University's renowned dance department under the tutelage of the great French mime, John Burdict. Her dance training led to a debut at Carnegie Hall as lead dancer with the Nyiere Armenian Dance Troupe. She subsequently toured the United States and Europe with this dance company giving her an opportunity to advance her studies in cultural diversities, which was influential in her future design work. She was a student of comparative religions, mythology and philosophy. She left the art world for eighteen years to work as a business consultant but always stayed involved in the arts. Late in life Sari met and married Bob Allen, a widower, and moved to Spirit Lake, Iowa. She became very involved in the local community by volunteering at the Lakes Art Center. She once again used her artistic talent to open a one-of-a-kind artisan boutique, Artsy Tartsy, where she sold unique creations from artists all over the county. She fell in love with Iowa, the people and the charm of its small towns. Before her marriage to Bob Allen, she lived in Tampa Florida, where she and Bob maintained a winter home. She enjoyed seven years as part of the Allen family and encouraged and helped Bob Allen write his autobiography. Cause of death: automobile accident, near Omaha, Nebraska.
