Rev. John Fred Huxall, Sr., age 84 of Lexington, went home to be with his Lord on Sunday, February 17, 2013. John was born at home in Miami, OK on April 6, 1928. He was the youngest of 13 children born to Fred William Huxall and Laveda (Leach) Huxall. John grew up during the depression and stayed at home on the farm to help his dad until he was 22 years old. At the age of 22 he got saved at the First Christian Church in Miami, OK. He later joined the Assembly of God Church where God called him into the full time ministry. Over the next 10 years, John traveled coast to coast helping in tent revivals with the Evangelistic Ministries of Bud Chambers and Bob Jones. In 1960, while in Ft. Worth, TX, John met the love of his life, Mildred Yancy Hunter. They were later married on November 11, 1960 in White Settlement, TX. Mildred being a widow with four children, John immediately became a proud father to, Deanna, Wes, Gail and Rhonda. One year later, John and Mildred added another member to their family as son John Huxall Jr. Over the next 40 years, John dedicated his life to singing, played his guitar and pastoring churches all across OK including; Chickasha, Marlow and Lexington. For many years he pastored local churches including the Rose Hill Pentecostal Church of God and the Lexington Pentecostal Church of God. He also had pastored the Flower Hill Church near Ft. Smith, Arkansas. Together for 52 years, John and Mildred were partners in harmony, and were totally committed to serving God and bringing other to Christ. John had a servant's heart and was always helping other churches on their building projects, doing carpentry and concrete work. He also was a "jack of all trades" he loved to stay busy around his house. When he was younger he enjoyed riding dirt bikes with his son and working on old cars and.

John was preceded in death by: Parents and 8 brothers and 4 sisters

He is survived by: Wife: Mildred, affectionately known as "Midge" of the home in Lexington Five children: Deanna Schuh and husband George of Norman, OK Gail Loughridge and husband Fred of Tuttle, OK Wes Hunter and wife Patti of Reno, NV Rhonda Schuelke and husband Glenn of Santa Anna, CA Johnny Huxall Jr. and wife Tracy of Texas 12 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews

Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 19, 2013, at the Memorial Assembly of God Church in Purcell, OK. Burial will be on Wednesday, February 20, at 1:00 P.M. at the G.A.R. Cemetery in Miami, OK. John is my Greatuncle
