Ilene Burkhead, 83, Greenville Road, died at 8:05 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013, at her home of natural causes.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home with the Rev. Don Troutman officiating.
Burial will follow in Green Hill Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
A native of Christian County, she was born Nov. 2, 1929, the daughter of the late Gilbert and Louise Boyd Harned.
She was owner and operator of Bill Burkhead Trucking and a charter member of Highland Presbyterian Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Burkhead, in 1989, and a daughter, Teresa Burkhead Winders.
Suvivors include two sons, Jeff (Sherry) Burkhead, Pembroke, and Mike Burkhead, Hopkinsville; her daughter, Mrs. Ray (Phyllis) Williams, Hopkinsville; two brothers, Douglas Harned and Donald (Linda) Harned, both of Hopkinsville; her sister, Bettye Shehorn, Hopkinsville; eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
