Garwin Adelbert "Bob" Baugh O.T. Allen & Son Funeral Home- Alto, Texas- (936) 858-4111 Alto- Funeral Service for Garwin Adelbert "Bob" Baugh, 78, of Shreveport and formally of Alto will be Friday, February 22nd at 2:00 PM in the O.T. Allen & Son Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Josh Lindsey & Morris Luker officiating. Burial will be held in the Lynches Chapel Cemetery. Mr. Baugh passed away Monday in Shreveport, Louisiana. He was born November 30, 1934 in Rochester, Minnesota to Orville & Julia Cook Baugh. He married Martha Ann Brooks on August 22, 1959. He was a member of the US Army for 2 years and owned and operated OB Body Shop in Alto, Texas for around 39 years. He was a former member of the Alto City Council and later became the Mayor of Alto. Mr. Baugh was also a member of the Alto Volunteer Fire Department where he became Fire Chief. He was responsible for getting the support of the building for the current fire station with more up to date equipment and keeping the insurance costs down while he was in office. Mr. Baugh enjoyed increasing his knowledge & did so by becoming an Arson Investigator, Reserve Deputy & Paralegal. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Martha Ann Baugh; sister, Wanda & brothers, Willard & Sam. Survivors Include Son & Daughter-in-law: Nicky & Chantel Baugh- Alto, Texas Daughters & Sons-in-law: Gayle & Joe Lindsey- Teneha, Texas Karen & Kevin Payne- Shreveport, Louisiana Brother & Sister-in-law: Gale & Peggy Baugh- Elgin, Texas Sisters & Brother-in-law: Dorothea Touchton- Diboll, Texas JoEllen & Antone Voitle- Fayetteville, Texas Ruthie Wolford- New Braunfels, Texas Jacqueline Hugghins- Tyler, Texas Grandchildren: Tanya & Tommy Ray Smith, Daniel Selman, Nathan Baugh, Erica Selman, Jasmine Lindsey & Jesse Selman 9 Great Grandchildren Pallbearers: Nathan Baugh, Daniel Selman, Tommy Ray Smith, Elvin Peacock, Clark Baugh, E.C.
