Bruce J. Curtis, 67, was the son of Herbert Leon and Gladys (Mohan) Curtis. He passed away at the Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center.

Mr. Curtis graduated from Proctor High School in 1948 and from Middlebury College in 1952, where he served as Captain of the Middlebury College Baseball Team.

He married Lillian King in Proctor on October 24, 1953.

He served in the Signal Corps in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict from 1954 to 1956.

He was employed as materials Manager at the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. in Windsor for 35 years, retiring in 1987.

Mr. Curtis was a member of the St. Francis of Assisi Church in Windsor where he served on the Parish Council and as a Eucharistic Minister. He was a former manager and lifetime member of the John P. Larkin Country Club in Windsor and a member of American Legion Post #25, the Windsor Rotary Club, was involved with Windsor Little League and served on the Mr. Ascutney Hospital Board of Directors and was a Trustee at the Davis Home.

He was survived by his wife and three sons, Mark, Christopher and Kevin and two daughters, Laurie Gray and Gail James.
