James W. Yocum, 73, of Amarillo died Wednesday, March 2, 2005.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Memory Gardens Cemetery with the Rev. Perry Hunsaker officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 S. Bell St.

Mr. Yocum was married 52 years to Betty Dugger. He served for 20 years in the Air Force and was a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam wars. He also retired from Bell Helicopter after 20 years of service.

Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Darlene Shawhart, Earlene Strader and Bonnie Yocum, all of Amarillo; a brother, Bruce Yocum of Portland, Ore.; five sisters, Joyce, Evelyn, Sheila, Violet and Lula; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to BSA Hospice, 600 N. Tyler St., Amarillo, TX 79101.
