Oma Abney, age 95, of Dardanelle, AR died Monday, February 14, 2000 at the Stella Manor Nursing center in Russellville, AR. She was born July 14, 1904 in Centerville, AR to the late Madison Grant and Ellen Branson Underwood. She was a member of the Church of Christ and a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Abney; two brothers, Millard and Oza Underwood and two sisters, Ethel Garner and Ora Evans.
Survivors are two brothers, Lonnie Underwood of the Omega Community and Arthur Underwood of Pasadena, TX and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were February 17 at the Mt. George Church of Christ with Bro. Chris George officiating. Burial was at Mt. George Cemetery. Pallbearers were Troy, Charles, Roy, Bobby, Jonathan and Larry Underwood. Honorary were Freddie Underwood, Herbert Underwood, Dr. Stanley Teeter, Sonny George and the Deacons of Westside Church of Christ.
