Wencil Chvala, Sr., 92, died Thursday afternoon at the home of his son, Wencil Chvala, Jr., where he has made his home for the last 35 years.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. from St. Joseph's Catholic Church at Kellnersville. Burial will be made in Greenstreet Cemetery. The body is lying in state at the Husar Funeral Home, Kellnersville.

Mr. Chvala was born in Bohemia near New Prague on April 4, 1846. He came to this country at the age of 16 with his parents and the family established a home on a farm in the Town of Cooperstown. In 1868, Mr. Chvala married Catherine Yench and they settled at the farm home at which Mr. Chvala died yesterday. Mrs. Chvala died 35 years ago.

Survivors are a son, Wencil; two daughters, Mrs. Emma Yindra of Maribel and Mrs. Dan Fleischer of Tuscumbia, Alabama; 17 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.
