MRS. CIGLER PASSES AWAY
Mrs. Mary Cigler, 65, lifelong resident of Cooperstown, died Friday evening at the home of her son, Charles, who operates the homestead farm. Death was attributed to the heat. Mrs. Cigler, who had been in failing health for several months, visited the doctor yesterday and on returning to the son's home was taken fatally ill with a heart attack.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 9 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Kellnersville. Burial will be in the Greenstreet Cemetery.
The maiden name of Mrs. Cigler was Mary Berger. She was a daughter of Jacob Berger, Rosecrans, 92, who still survives. Forty-seven years ago, Mrs. Cigler was married to Joseph Cigler and they took up their home on a farm in Cooperstown. Mr. Cigler died several years ago.
Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Frank Chizek, Kellnersville; Mrs. Edward Echner, Spruce, Wis.; Mrs. Emil Schuster, Francis Creek; six sons, Charles, Cooperstown; Emil, Two Creeks; Joseph, Antigo; Edward, Rudolph, Sylvester, all of Milwaukee; father, Jacob, Rosecrans; four brothers, Joseph, Maribel; Frank, Franklin; Emil, Cooperstown; Anton, city; two sisters, Mrs. John Svec, Stratford, Wis.; Mrs. Frank Opitchka, Wausau.
The body will be removed to the home of the son, Charles Cigler, Cooperstown, Sunday morning from the Husar and Wachal Funeral home, Kellnersville.
