Beverly Irene Wooley, 81, died Monday, Feb. 4, 2002, at The Residence at Alive Hospice in Nashville, Tenn., of advanced metastatic breast cancer. She was born Sept. 29, 1920, in Colorado.

Mrs. Wooley spent most of her life in Ojai, where she was a business owner of the Purple Wagon Mall and various other properties, including the ranch she built and lived on for 37 years in the Ojai Valley.

She is survived by her daughter, Chrystie Lynn Burns, son-in-law Robert H. Burns, and five grandchildren, all of Nashville; brother and sister-in-law Bill and Dorothy Torrence of California; and former husband of 23 years, Sheb Wooley, of Oklahoma.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rosalee and Bev Torrence (adoptive father) and Bill Addington, sisters Iola and Evelyn Addington and brothers Lefty and Burch Addington.

Memorial donations may be made to Alive Hospice, 1718 Patterson St., Nashville, TN 37203 or to Breast Cancer Research, c/o Pollota Teamworks, 2709 Media Center Drive, Los Angeles, CA 90065.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Feb. 7, at 11 a.m. in the chapel at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service. Entombment will be at Harpeth Hills Cemetery immediately following the service.

Arrangements are under the direction of Crawford Mortuary & Crematory in Nashville.
