Addie Frances Shifflett Beach, 77, of Harrisonburg died Tuesday morning at Rockingham Memorial Hospital, where she had been a patient one day. She had been ill several years.
Mrs. Beach was born Feb. 22, 1900 in Rockingham County and was a daughter of the late Minnie Shifflett.
She lived her entire life in the Harrisonburg area and worked for Cavalier Produce. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church.
She was the widow of Osie J. Beach, who died in March of 1966.
Surviving are three daughters, Dorothy Dean, Audrey Lamb and Evelyn Loveless, all of Harrisonburg; three sons, Jack and John Beach, both of Harrisonburg, and Lynwood Beach of Ft. Montgomery, N.Y.; 18 grandchildren, and five greatgrandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday at the Lindsey Harrisonburg Funeral Home by the Rev. Joseph Sefcik.
Burial will be in Woodbine Cemetery.
The body is at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends 7:30-8:30 p.m. today.
