Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. from Memory Chapel for James Alexander Attaway, 79, retired Athens farmer who died Monday at 3:45 p.m.
The rites were conducted by Rev. D.H. Bonner. Interment was in Chatfield Cemetery.
A native of Tennessee, Mr. Attaway had lived here for the last 40 years.
He is survived by four sons, three daughters and 16 grandchildren.
