His many friends were painfully grieved to learn of the sudden death of Harry Frederick Bockhahn which occurred at the St. Francis hospital about 11 o'clock Saturday evening, following a brief illness of pneumonia. Mr. Bockhahn had been in his usual good health until Tuesday, when he suffered an attack of pleurisy. Shortly thereafter pneumonia developed and his condition showing alarming symptoms, he ws removed to the hospital for treatment but he grew gradually worse, resulting in his demise late Saturday. He was born on a farm three miles south of Alda, Hall county, on August 6, 1895, and was aged 27 years, 6 months, and 18? days. In 1910 he moved to Grand Island with his parents, where he has since resided. For some time past he has been in the employ of Albert Stehr, contractor. In 1915, he was united in marriage with Miss Elsie Parpat of this city. To this union there were born two children, a son, Karl, aged five and a daugher, Gladys, aged two. Besides his bereaved widow and children, he is survived by his parents, five sisters, Mrs. Fred Coley, of Arizona, Mrs. J. W. Rumbarger, of Wyoming; Mrs. F. Manion, of Giltner, Mrs. E. R. Franz and Mrs. Albert Stehr, of Grand Island, and four brothers, George, Albert, and Fred Bockhahn of Grand Island, and Frank, of Casper, Wyo. Funeral services will be held from the home, 1217 West Fifth street, at 2 p.m. Wednesday. Interment will be made in the Grand Island cemetery.
