Mr. Vody Eugene Fountain, age 66, of Woodstock, GA, died Monday, February 18, 2013.
Mr. Fountain was born in Mobile, Al, was a longtime resident of Vancleave, MS and resided in Georgia for 20 years. He was retired from South Central Bell Telephone Company and enjoyed fishing and football.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Newton and Josephine Fountain and two brothers, Stanley Fountain and Jody Fountain.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Rita Pabst Fountain, daughter, Lisa Thibodeau, son, Randy (Sarah) Fountain, three sisters, Bea Corbello, Mary (Doug) Dean and Bobbie (Bo) Parnell, two brothers, Pete (Carol) Fountain and Bryant Fountain, and three grandchildren, Josephine "Josey" Thibodeau, Sadie Thibodeau and Thomas Thibodeau.
Visitation will be on Friday, February 22, 2013, from 5 pm until 8 pm, at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. On Saturday, February 23, 2013, Mr. Fountain will lie in state from 10 am until 11 am, with an 11 am chapel service, all at the Vancleave Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Vancleave #1 Cemetery.
