Rickey Brooks Hardee, 59, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend, went to be with his heavenly family Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013. Funeral: 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Mount Olivet Chapel. Private burial: Azleland Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Mount Olivet Funeral Home. Rickey retired from Union Pacific Railroad after 29 years of service as an electrician. He was a talented musician who enjoyed playing music with his family as much as his band. Rickey was preceded in death by his sons, Rickey Brooks Hardee Jr. and John Matthew Hardee; and his parents, Mary and Brooks Hardee. Survivors: Loving wife of 32 years, Cindy Hardee; children, Shelly (Keith) Bray, Misty (Harley) Eshom, Jennifer (Brian) Cobb and Mark (Christine) Hardee; 15 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Pamela (Roger) Hoggard; brothers, Michael (Shirley) Hardee and Timothy (Cindy) Hardee; and numerous other relatives and friends.
