Forrest Delmar Hardisty, 65, was born Aug. 20, 1924,
in Adams County, the son of Forrest Henry and Marie Dillon Hardisty, and died at Bishop Clarkson Memorial Hospital in Omaha Sept. 29, 1989.
He lived i1n the Corning area his entire life. He owned and operated Feeders Grain and Supply for 13 years before semi-retiring to the farm i1n 1974. He served as an Air Force pilot during World War II.
On Jan. 28, 1947, he married Wilma Evans who died in Jan., 1960. On Aug. 5, 1974, he married Mary Alice Frame of Maryville, Mo. He was a member of the Corning United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his father and his first wife. He is survived by his wife; a step-son, Tom Frame and his wife Donna of Fort Collins, Colo.; step-daughter, Pamela Skinner and husband Terry of Purdin, Mo.; his mother, Marie Hardisty of Carl; two brothers, Donald and his wife Donna Hardisty and Darwin and his wife Margaret Hardisty, all of Coming: and four step grandchildren.
Services were held at the Roland-Lindsay Golden Rule Funeral Home in Corning with the Rev. Jonathon Arnpriester officiating. Casket bearers were Glenn Scott, Clifford Bradley, Gene Foval, Gary Scott, Ralph Gordon and Robert DeVore. Honorary bearers were Donald Wilmarth, Marshall Miller, Burdette Harrison, Bill Gearheart and John Green. Burial was in the Carl Cemetery.
A memorial to the United Methodist Church in Corning has been established.
