Mrs. Mary Kohout, 80, lifelong resident of the town of Cooperstown, died at the family home near Greenstreet in the town of the Cooperstown on Thursday.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 9 o'clock from the home and at 9:30 at the St. Joseph's Catholic church at Kellnersville, the Rev. Joseph Kalisek officiating.

Mrs. Kohout was born Mary Kaska in the Town of Cooperstown on July 25, 1859. She was married to Joseph Kohout in 1879, and the couple operated a farm in the town of Cooperstown until 20 years ago when they retired and moved to a home at Greenstreet. Mr. Kohout died eight years ago.

Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. John Schubert and Mrs. Godfried Kunz of Maribel, a sister, Mrs. Thomas Petska of Maribel, 12 grandchildren and one great grandchild.

The body will lie in state at the Kohout home from this afternoon until the hour of the funeral.
