Dr. Glenn W. Rice went home to be with the Lord on February 23rd 2013. He was born March 5, 1925 to Tom and Lela Rice of Apple Springs, Texas.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Andy and Ray Rice, sisters Reba Eastepp, Nola Farrek, and Toni Medley, and his youngest daughter Terri Rice.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years Mary Rice, daughter Gina Rice, brother Tom Rice and wife Geniece, grandson Dr. Jerod Patchin and wife Shawna, great grandson Joshua Patchin, granddaughter Brenna Sanchez and husband John and great grandson Nicolai Sanchez, and numerous other relatives and friends.

Dr. Rice was a veteran of World War II. His duties included guarding Presidents Truman and Eisenhower. Dr. Rice came to Conroe after graduating from Texas Chiropractic College in 1950. He served the community for 60 years at his office located at 204 N. First St., Conroe, Texas.

Visitation will be Monday, February 25th 6 pm to 8 pm at Cashner Funeral Home in Conroe, Texas. Funeral services will be at 10:30 am Tuesday, February 26th at Generations Church, 405 Rayford Road, Spring, and Texas. Interment will follow at Ivie Cemetery in Kennard, Texas.
