Mrs. Martin Kvitek, 84, pioneer Maribel resident, died Sunday in a Green Bay hospital following a heart attack.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock from the Greenstreet Catholic Church, the Rev. J.G. Rous officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body will lie at the Husar funeral home, Kellnersville, until the time of services.

Mrs. Kvitek, nee Mary Mazna, was born in what is now Czechoslovakia on June 8, 1853. She came to America and settled in Manitowoc county with her parents in 1865. Ten years later, 62 years ago, she was married to Martin Kvitek, who died several years ago. The couple settled on a farm in the town of Cooperstown. About 35 years ago, they purchased a store, tavern and dancehall in Rosecrans and three years later, they built a similar building in Maribel.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. P. Dohnal, Maribel; Mrs. C.J. Steinbricker, Milwaukee; and Mrs. Fred Doney, Green Bay; three sons, Martin, Green Bay; Adolph, Chicago; and Frank, Milwaukee; 18 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
