Ann G. Mick, 80, of Cresco, died early Saturday morning, July 7, in her home. She was the wife of Donald I. Mick with whom she shared 58 years of marriage on November 14, 2011.
Born on April 20, 1932 at the family home in LaAnna, she was a daughter of the late Iveson "Jim" H. and Bess (Dunning) Gilpin and was a lifetime resident of the LaAnna and Cresco areas.
She was a graduate of Greene Dreher High School in Newfoundland and then took one year of commercial courses in Coolbaugh Township.
She and her husband owned and operated Mick Motors, Mick's Tavern and Mick's Taxi Service in Cresco.
Ann was a lifetime member of the LaAnna United Methodist Church, a former member of Dorcas Circle at the Mountainhome United Methodist Church, and was the secretery of the Oakland Cemetery Board from 1952 to 2012.
In addition to her husband she is survived by two sons, James Mick and his wife Michaele of Cresco and Richard Mick and his wife Denise of Canadensis; a granddaughter, Morgan Mick; a sister, Katherine Swingle of LaAnna and her extended family, the family of the late John and Madelyn Leonard.
She was preceeded in death by a sister, Judith Callahan and a half-sister, Marjorie Arens.
There wil be a viewing from 7:00 to 8:30PM Tuesday, July 10, at the William H. Clark Funeral Home, 1003 Main Street, Stroudsburg. The funeral service will begin at 10:30 AM Wednesday, July 11, at the LaAnna United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Anthony Grecco officiating. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery.
