Funeral services for Modest Cardin, 82, of Sheldon, who passed away Thursday, January 15 in the Sheldon Community Hospital, were held Saturday, January 17, at 10:00 a.m. in St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Sheldon. Rev Cletus Keleher officiated with burial in the parish cemetery. The Vader Ploeg Funeral Home of Sheldon was in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Cardin was born May 29, 1887 in Sheldon. His wife Julia died in 1967.
Survivors are a son, James of Sheldon; a brother, Walker of Sheldon, and four grandchildren.
