Jewell Miller Monson, 83, Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, daughter of the late J. C. Miller Sr. and Josephine Morrison Miller, was born in Knoxville, Tenn. on Oct. 28, 1905. She died at 7:45 p.m., Wednesday, March 1, 1989, in Campbellsville after an illness. She was a member of the Campbellsville Christian Church and the Daughters of the American Revolution. She united in marriage to George S. Monson on Dec. 31, 1933. He preceded her in death on Sept. 28, 1975. She is survived by one son, Rodger Monson, Campbellsville; two granddaughters, Debbi Monson Sweat and Cindy Monson, both of Bradenton, Fla.; two sisters and one brother, Edna Shirley, Campbellsville, Lena McWhorter, Cincinnati, Ohio, and George O. Miller, Punta Gorda, Fla.; several other relatives and many friends. The funeral was at 10 a.m., Saturday, March 4, at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville by Bro. Paul Patton. Burial was at Brookside Cemetery.
