Lima Recorder, Thursday, June 9, 1977:
George Charles Asselin, of Bristol, lost his life as a result of an accident that occurred on his farm on Tuesday, May 31, 1977. Mr. Asselin was in the process of training one of their horses, when it reared, throwing him to the ground where he sustained injuries that resulted in his death. He was 40 years of age.
Mr. Asselin was born in Rochester, March 26, 1937 to Joseph and Grace Napp Asselin, and married to the former Flora Ross of Honeoye Falls.
He is survived by bis wife, Flora: two daughters, Laurie and Jodie, both at home; two sons, Richard and Jeffory, both of Lima; his father, Joseph Asselin, of Rochester.
Funeral services were held Saturday, June 4 at The Merton H. Kays Funeral Home, 59 Monroe St. Honeoye Fails with the Rev. Douglas Spencer officiating. Interment followed in North Bloomfield Cemetery.
