He arrived October 29th , 1880 with his parents and siblings and lived in the Polish neighborhood around St Josephats Basilica. They came with the great Polish Migration to Milwaukee to escape the germanizing of Poznan region. The ships log suggests they came from "Gurrey" but I am not sure what city that represents. He had a very successful Tinshop that he left to his son. Many of his daughters worked at the tin shop. including my feisty grandmother Agnes, who never understood why August ( Stanley ) inherited the shop and they had to work for him. Victoria is listed on this site as well and I will try to add to the story as time goes on.
