Don graduated from Kennewick High School, 1950. He was a prolific athlete in football, baseball and basketball. He attended Central Washington State College in Ellensburg, WA. Don graduated from Central Washington State College in Ellensburg, WA With a degree in Arts and Sciences. He arrived in the US from Canada in July 1935. At some point he joined the US Air Force and before his illness was stationed at US AF Base, Tillamook Oregon. He died at the Portland, Oregon Veterans Hospital after a long illness. His parents owned a grocery store in Kennewick for many years and in 1957 they remodeled the grocery store and opened The Clothes Horse, a successful clothing store.
