SPARTANBURG, SC-- Earl Daniel, 84, formerly of California Avenue, died Friday, January 30, 2009, at Upstate Carolina Medical Center. Born August 31, 1924, in Cowpens, SC, he was the son of the late Early Aubrey and Gracie Spencer Daniel. He was retired from the grocery business, a member of Beaumont Baptist Church, and a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II.
Survivors include two grandsons, Danny Earl Daniel, Jr. of Colorado, and Robert C. Bridges, Jr. of Reidville; a brother, Rich Daniel of Spartanburg; and two sisters, Cornelia Scruggs of Spartanburg, and Nell Freshour of Greenville. He was predeceased by two sons, Danny Earl Daniel and Terry R. Daniel; a daughter, Cathy Daniel Bridges; and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, February 1, 2009, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel conducted by the Rev. John Cox. The family will receive friends following the service at the Chapel. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
