Wm Sladkey, 45, Dies Wednesday

William Sladkey, 45, Melnik, passed away Wednesday. Funeral services were held Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church,, Kellnersville, with the Rev. F. Wenda officiating. Burial was in the Green Street Cemetery.

Mr. Sladkey was born in the Town of Cooperstown, the son of John and Rose Snorek Sladkey. On May 2, 1934 he married the former Norma Soukup. They operated the homestead farm at Melnik for the past 16 years. He was employed at the Hamilton Mfg. Co., Two Rivers for three years prior to his illness.

He is survived by his wife, his mother, Mrs. Rose Sladkey, Maribel, two daughters, Doris and Nancy at home; two sons, Gerald and David at home; one brother, John of Maribel; five sisters, Mrs. Frank Wranovsky, Phoenix, Ariz., Mrs. Krish, Manitowoc, Mrs. Albert Valenta, Route 1, Maribel, Mrs. Walter Bielinski, Denmark, and Mrs. Edward Kralovetz of Route 1, Maribel. His father preceded him in death October 18,, 1957.

Funeral services for William Sladkey, 43, of Melnik, who died Wednesday, will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Saur Funeral Home, Kellnersville and at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic church, in the village of Kellnersville. The Rev. Francis Wenda will officiate and burial will be in Greenstreet Cemetery.

Surviving are his wife, two daughters, Doris and Nancy and two sons, Gerald and David at home; mother, Mrs. Rose Sladkey of Maribel; a brother, John of Maribel and five sisters, Mrs. Frank Wranovsky of Phoenix, Ariz., Mrs. Edwin Krish of Manitowoc, Mrs. Albert Valenta and Mrs. Edward Krakovitz of Rt. 1, Maribel and Mrs. Walter Bielinski of Denmark.

Friends may call at the funeral home where the Rosary will be recited at 8 o'clock this Friday evening.
