Christian Friedrich Otto was born March 8, 1824, in Klein Binz in Pommern, and baptized and confirmed there. He married Johanna Wilhelmine born Konell in 1850, and they emigrated to America the following year. The congregation elected him to the board, and he served until his death. He died last Friday, August 24, at the age of 59 years, 5 months, and 16 days. He is survived by a widow and eight children, two children already deceased.
