He was born in Oregon City and moved to Scotts Mills when he was 3. He graduated from Silverton High School in 1972. He married Rebecca in 1974 and they moved to Milwaukie. He was a dairy processor for Darigold and returned to Scotts Mills in 1977. He enjoyed writing music, riding motorcycles and fishing. He was a member of the Teamsters Union.
Survivors include his wife; sons, Kenneth and Kyle, both of Scotts Mills, and Kevin of Salem; and brothers, Charles of Portland and James of Florida.
Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at World Outreach Church where he was a member. Interment will follow at Maplewood Cemetery in Scotts Mills. Arrangements are by Unger Funeral Chapel. Contributions: church music fund or Willamette Valley Hospice.
