Mrs. Barber was born in Union, SC September 28, 1938, a daughter of the late Jesse Brown and Edna Parks Brown. She retired from Wallace Thomson Hospital and was a member of the Full Gospel Tabernacle of God.

Mrs. Barber was predeceased by a son, Donnie Barber and a grandson, Michael Garner.
