JOHN W. BRAUN (d. 1960)
John W. Braun, 58, of Rt. 1, Whitelaw, died at home Monday morning from a heart attack.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the Reedsville Funeral Home and at 10 a.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church, Whitelaw, the Rev. Francis Rose officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Braun was born Dec. 13, 1901, at Cato, son of the late Frank P. and Margaret Grall Braun. He married Anna Heinrichs, June 15, 1926, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Silver Lake. They farmed in the Town of Franklin,
Manitowoc County. He was a member of the Holy Name Society of St. Michael parish.
Survivors include his wife; four sons, Donald and Paul of Rt. 1, Whitelaw, Raymond at home, and Jerome stationed with the army at Fort Gordon, Ga.; two daughters, Mrs. Thomas Reed of Rolling Hills, Calif., and mrs. Charles
Champeau of Green Bay; two brothers, Joseph of Manitowoc, and Frank of Whitelaw; four sisters, Mrs. Margaret Zeman of Sheboygan, Mrs. Quirin Swetlik of Rt. 1, Whitelaw, Mrs. Elmer Neuser of Rt. 4, Manitowoc, and Mrs. Paul Pakenham of Minneapolis and 12 grandchildren.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Wednesday where the Holy Name Society will recite the Rosary at 8 p.m., led by Father Rose.
