Betty B. Tarr, 79, 2404 Elva Drive, died at approximately 9 a.m. Wednesday, May 12, 1999, at her residence. Born March 5, 1920, she was the daughter of Paul F. and Jesse B. (Springer) Carey. She was the wife of Raymond J. Tarr, who died Nov. 11, 1988. They were married June 10, 1939.

She retired from Anderson Abstract where she had worked for over 25 years. She attended First Congregational Church. Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Judith Ann and Bernard Federspill Jr., Kokomo, and Jeanean Diane and Jim Moose, Portsmouth, Va.; a daughter-in-law, Becky Tarr, Virginia Beach, Va.; eight grandchildren, Kris Buchanan, Kim Tarr, Susan Federspill, Jeff Pyke, Kelly Rice, Larissa Holbrook, Sara Jackson, Adam Tarr, and eight great-grandchildren; and a sister and brother-in-law, Donna and William Coy, Kokomo.

Preceding her in death were two sons, Raymond Lee Tarr and Wayne A. Tarr.

Service will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Ellers Mortuary, Webster Street Chapel, 3400 S. Webster St. The Rev. Don Kaufman will officiate. Entombment will be in Sunset Memory Gardens Mausoleum. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
