1923 ~ 2013
Warren David Bowen passed away February 10th, 2013 at the veteran's rest home after a lingering illness.
He was born in Cokeville, Wyoming on June 23rd, 1923 to David and Cenith Cunningham Bowen.
He was one of eight siblings; he graduated from Burley High School and entered the Marine Corps for World War II then served in the Army for the Korean War. He then went on to retire from civil service work from Hill AFB after 40 yrs of service. He met and married Pauline Bogue in Jan 1949 and went on to have four children Elaine (Paul) Manning, Cindy Bass, Randy (Shelia) Bowen, and Ronald Bowen who held a special bond with his father and was always there to take care of him, especially the last five years of his declining health, and his brother Lionel Bowen and his sister Bonnie Bartlett. Also survived by nine grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren. He also had a loving dog Krista.
He is preceded in death by a very special grandson Joshua Cassutt, his parents David and Cenith Bowen, his in-laws Charles and Mary Bogue, and two brothers and three sisters.
Services will be held at Camp Williams, 17111 South Camp Williams Road in Bluffdale, Utah on Friday February 15th, at 2:00 pm. We would also like to express our thanks to the Veterans Rest Home. Rest in Peace!!
