NEW-YORK, July 18.
Last Friday Morning departed this Life, at his House in this City, of a Paralytick Disorder, in the 69th Year of his Age, JOHN ASPINWALL, Esq; of this Place, Merchant: His Remains were decently interred the Evening following in St. George's Chappell attended by a fast Concourse of the worthy Inhabitants of this City.

John Aspinwall was host to a young relative, Dr. William Aspinwall, of Brookline, Massachusetts, the younger son of his first cousin Lt. Thomas Aspinwall. John wrote to his cousin Thomas to share his high opinion of William, who became the noted Revolutionary patriot, Dr. William Aspinwall of Brookline, Massachusetts. This correspondence illustrates the close relationship maintained by the New York and Massachusetts branches of the Aspinwall family.
