Gus J. Belitzer, Sr., was welcomed to Heaven on March 22, 2007.

He was born in Dallas, Texas on June 1, 1914. During his 92 years he was a good and faithful servant. He gave many hours of love and service to Boy Scout Troop 30, Aldersgate Methodist Church, Highlands High School Band Booster, McQueeney's Volunteer Fire Department; New Braunfels First Methodist Church, McQueeney's Lion's Club, and Seguin Assisted Living. He will be missed by the many, whom he helped shape their lives.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Hettie Bell Belitzer, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Joe and Adell Mooney. He is survived by daughters, Sandra Parker and husband Rocky, Suzy Citek and husband Charlie, son, Gus J. Belitzer, Jr. and wife Susan, granddaughters, Robbi Robalin, LeeAnn Voges, Abby Williford, Molly Belitzer, grandson, Thorne Robalin and wife Mariela. He has two great grandsons, Brandon and Nicolas Robalin, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Les and Mary Tomlinson, Lucille and Joe Dugan, and Arlene and Frank Clark and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Friday, March 23 at Sunset Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, March 24, 2007 at Sunset Funeral Home with the committal service following at Sunset Memorial Park. The Reverend Harold Zirkel will be officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to your favorite charity in daddy's name. Sunset Funeral Home.
