She was born in Canada, daughter of Charles and Emma (Rouleau) Courcy. They were married by Pastor James F. Roach and this was their first marriage.

In Sep 1918 Aime Lafleur filed his WWI draft registration card when he and his wife Rose Anna were living at 12 Pleadwell Street, Taunton and he was working as a mill operator for the Whittenton Manufacturing Company on Whittenton Street. At that time he was described as being tall with a slender build, gray eyes and light hair. He stated he was born Aug 11, 1874 and was a citizen or subject of Great Britain.
