Ralph Renninger
Ralph Henry Renninger, 40, of 301 W Center St, Donaldson, died Tuesday in
a mine accident at the Kocher Coal Company, Porter Tunnel. His body was
brought to the surface about 2 pm Sunday.
Services will be held Tuesday afternoon from the W. E. Minnig Funeral Home,
120 W. Main St., Tremont, with his pastor, the Rev George Carvell officiating.
Burial will be in Community Cemetery, Donaldson. No viewing will be held.
Mr. Renninger was born in Zerbe and was the son of Mrs. Catherine (Feidt)
Renninger of Zerbe and the late Norman Renninger. He lived in Donaldson
the last 18 years. He was employed by the Kocher Coal Company. He was a
member of Salem's United Church of Christ and the Independent Miners and Associates, Pottsville.
Surviving, in addition to his widow, the former Pearl Faust; four daughters,
Rose, wife of John McGovern, of Zerbe, Barbara, Cheryl, and Susan, all at
home; one grandson; two brothers, Clair, of Donaldson; Clyde, of Branchdale;
four sisters, Miriam, wife of Harvey Thompson, of Joliett; Mary, wife of
Michael Bonchalk, of Zerbe; Martha, wife of Joseph Neidlinger, of Donaldson.
A sister Thelma Renniger also survives.
