John Miller Bradley, Jr., age 75, of Birmingham, Alabama, passed away on February 10, 2001.

He was a longtime member of Briarwood Presbyterian Church where he served as a deacon. He was a founder and chairman of the board of Resource Management Services, a private forestry consulting firm, known as a leading firm in his industry, nationally. He attended the University of Alabama where he was a member of Phi Gamma Delta fraternity. He received his BS in Math, Samford University, BS in Forestry, University of California, Berkeley, and Masters in Forestry, Yale University.

He served in WW II as an Ensign Officer in the Naval service. He has served as a member of the advisory committee on state and private forestry for the Secretary of Agriculture, Washington; U. S. delegation 8th World Forestry Congress; Yale University council committee on forestry and environmental studies; board of directors for Pamlico Corp. Banproco, Director of Search Foundation, Washington (participating in expeditions to Mt. Ararat, Turkey in search of Noah's Ark); board of directors for the Red Mountain Museum, Birmingham and the Birmingham Historical Society; member advisory board for the Birmingham Area Council Boy Scouts of America; director of YMCA Camp Cosby. He was also a member of the Society of American Foresters, Association of Consulting Foresters, and the Alabama Forestry Association (named to Hall of Fame 1984), Alabama Committee of Southern Timber Study; Newcomen Society, U. S.; Tau Beta Pi and the Birmingham Rotary Club.

Mr. Bradley was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Miller (Frances) Bradley, Sr. and was born on March 20, 1925 in Birmingham, Alabama. He was preceded in death by his son, John Miller Bradley, III. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Isabel Elmore Bradley; his daughter, Jocelyn Bradley; his daughter-in-law, Mrs. Molly Shaw Bradley; and grandchildren, Virginia Bradley, Gates Bradley, Benjamin Bradley, and Christopher Bradley.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be given to Briarwood Presbyterian Church or the John M. Bradley III Scholarship Fund for the School of Forestry & Wildlife Service at Auburn University.

A private graveside ceremony for the family will be held on Tuesday, February 13 at 11:00 a.m. at Elmwood Cemetery. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 17 at 11:00 a.m. at Briarwood Presbyterian Church.
