(1874 - 1952)

Miss Josephine Bartel, 77, for more than 25 years housekeeper for the late Dr. A.M. Farrell, Two Rivers, died Tuesday at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, where she had made her home for 15 years.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Sacred Heart Catholic church, Two Rivers, the Rev. Joseph Gabryczek officiating. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Two Rivers.

Miss Bartel, the daughter of Jacob and Catherine Bartel, was born in 1874 in Manitowoc. The family moved several years later to a farm in the town of Two Rivers, where she lived for many years.

She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Catherine Weiss of Two Rivers, two brothers, Frank on the home farm and Michael of Manitowoc; six nephews and three nieces.

Friends may call at the Klein-Stangel Funeral Home, Two Rivers, from 2 p.m. Wednesday until time of services. The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Wednesday.
