Carl Wunsch, 82 lifelong resident of Rockland, died Friday
afternoon at the Holy Family hospital.Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Reedsville Cooperative funeral home, and at 2 o'clock at the St. Peters Evangelical Lutheran church, near Collins.
He was born in Rockland in 1865 on the homestead farm, now operated by his son, Fred. In 1896 he married Miss Caroline Behnke and they located on the homestead farm near Collins. The couple observed its golden wedding in April, 1946.
Surviving are his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Arthur Klessig and Mrs.
Walter Klessig of Rockland and Mrs. Herbert Wunrow of Rantoul; four sons, Fred on the home farm, Adolph of Rockland, Benjamin of Milwaukee and Melvin of Baltimore; two brothers, Michael of Brillion and William of California; two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Meinburg, of this city; Mrs. Helen Koch of Racine; 16 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The body may be viewed at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Sunday until
the time of services. Six grandsons will act as pallbearers.
