Lewis Wesley (Andy) Anderson, 86, passed away February 28, 2013. Visitation will begin at 12 noon followed by funeral service at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 5, at Park Lawn Funeral Home, 8251 Hillcrest Rd. Burial will be in Green Lawn Cemetery. Lou was born Oct. 11, 1926, in Kansas City, MO, to Jack and Edith Anderson. He was a proud, lifelong resident of Kansas City that graduated from Manual High School. He served 10 years in the U. S. Navy, and is a WWII and Korean War veteran. He went on to serve as Sgt. for the Kansas City Missouri Police Department and retired after 25 years of service. He then went on to corporate security for Yellow Freight Headquarters in Overland Park, KS, and retired in 1998. In better days he and Barbara were heavily involved with the Ararat Shrine in the Provost and Grandview Masonic Lodge. Lou leaves to mourn his home going, daughter, Lisa, granddaughter, Michelle (Mortez) and great granddaughter, MaKiyah, all of the home; son, Bruce (Debbie) and grandchildren, Jennifer, Melanie and Zoe of Kansas City, daughter, Kelli (Jerry) Rutledge and grandchildren, Brian, Amy and Jourdin of Peculiar, MO, grandson, Kevin Michael (Deidra) and their children Kevin III and Donovan of Kansas City, as well as a granddaughter, Megan and great granddaughter, Maiya of Manhattan, KS. He leaves daughter, Laura (Larry) Brennaman of Kansas City, and Kathy (George) Brockman of Blue Springs, sons, Lewis Jr. (Janet) of Walnut Grove, MO, and David of Houston, TX, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his beautiful wife, Barbara in 1994 and beloved daughter, LuAnn in 1958, as well as seven siblings and his parents, Jack and Edith.
