Mrs. Lena (Powell) Miller, 91, of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Mr. George O. Powell and Mrs. Mariah Bernard Powell, was born in Adair County, December 1, 1883. She died at 4:20 p.m., Sunday, January 12, 1975, at the Metzmeier Nursing Home in Campbellsville. She had professed faith in Christ early in life and was a member of the Campbellsville Christian Church. She united in marriage to Mr. J. C. Miller Jr. August 14, 1914. He preceded her in death October 24, 1956. One son, Mr. J. C. Miller Jr., preceded his mother in death August 31, 1970. She is survived by four daughters and three sons: Mrs. Paul (Edna) Shirley, Mrs. Richard (Lena) McWhorter, and Mrs. George (Jewell) Monson, all of Campbellsville, Mr. Owen P. Miller of Columbia, Mrs. Minor (Opal) Burks of Louisville, Mr. George O. Miller of Austin, Texas, and Mr. Clyde P. Miller of Bradenton, Florida. She is also survived by ten grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 14, at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville by Rev. Paul Bohrer and Rev. Don Walters. Burial was in Brookside Cemetery.
