Robert M. Osborne Sr., 77, of Louisville, died Thursday, Oct. 25, 1990, at Humana Hospital, Louisville. He was born in Owensboro, was a retired project manager for the old Ruby Construction Co. and was a former employee of the Kentucky Highway Department at Owensboro. He was a member of SS Joseph and Paul Catholic Church, the Bishop Spalding Council of the Knights of Columbus and Lewis Lodge No. 5, Widows and Widowers. His first wife, Theresa Gropp Osborne, died in 1978. Survivors include his wife, Elsie McFall Osborne; five sons, J. Michael Osborne of Stillwater, Minn., Robert M. Osborne Jr., William C. Osborne, Anthony G. Osborne and Pat H. Osborne, all of Louisville; three stepsons, William J. Akridge of Louisville, Robert W. Akridge with the U.S. Air Force at Upper Herford, England, and Gerald A. Akridge of Shepherdsville; three daughters, Ann O. Able, Deborah L. Duncan, both of Louisville, and Dorothy L. Cronin of Chicago; 12 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two brothers, Joseph Osborne of Owensboro and John Osborne of Crab Orchard; and four sisters, Betty Sullivan of Cincinnati, Mary Edith Allen, Nannette Isbell and Virginia Glahn, all of Owensboro. Services are at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. James Catholic Church, Louisville. Burial in Calvary Cemetery, Louisville. Visitation 1-9 p.m. today at Barrett Funeral Home, 1230 Bardstown Road, Louisville.
