Frederick R. Adams, Sr., of Belleville, Illinois 88, born April 25, 1924 in
Berwick, Pennsylvania, passed away on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at Memorial
Hospital, Belleville, Illinois
Frederick retired from Monsanto after 30 years retiring as a maintenance
planner. He served in the United States Air Force during WW II.; his B17 was
shot down over Germany and became a prisoner of war for 6 months. He was a
member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, DAV- Disabled American Veterans,
V.F.W. – Veterans of Foreign Wars, and a member of the Gothic Lodge #852, AF &AM
Scottish Rite Bodies, Valley of Southern Illinois, Ainad Shrine.
Frederick was preceded in death by his daughter, Sandra Lee,nee Adams, Black;
parents, William K. and Freda C., nee Smith, Adams; one brother and three
sisters.
Surviving are his loving wife Gladys R., nee Kammler, Adams; son, Frederick R. (
Pamela J. ) Adams, Jr.; three grandchildren, five great grandchildren and two
great great grandchildren.

Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home with Pastor Herb Schafale officiating.
